ONA, W.Va. — Spring Valley defeated Cabell Midland 39-38 in girls high school basketball as the Timberwolves improved to 4-0 on the season.
Spring Valley’s Morgan Vaughn hit the game winning shot for Spring Valley with just 11 seconds to go. Vaughn finished the game with 11 points, while Payton Caldwell scored 13 points to lead the way.
Cabell Midland dropped to 3-1 with the loss. Haley Waugh scored 13 points for the Knights, while Rachel Kraschnewski added 10 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Photos are by John Hagley Photography.
