A timeline of Ken Hechler’s life and influence

Former West Virginia Congressman and Secretary of State Ken Hechler will lie in repose in the Great Hall at the Culture Center. Visitation and the family receiving line will go from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Balcony Gallery. The memorial service is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Great Hall. Rev. Cecil Jividen will preside over the service.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has ordered all state flags at state facilities to fly at half-staff Monday in honor of Hechler.
