Morgantown police search for woman who robbed downtown bank

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown police are investigating a downtown bank robbery.

A woman walked into United Bank located on the corner of Fayette and Chestnut Streets at approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 where she presented a note demanding money.

Bankers turned over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white woman approximately 5’9″ tall.  She has a slim build and was wearing a hat with her red hair pulled back into a pony tail.

There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

Detectives of the Morgantown Police Department are currently investigating the case.
