Multiple accidents shut down portions of I-79

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Both north bound lanes are shut down along portions of I-79 in Harrison County due to multiple traffic accidents.

There is no word on the exact number of accidents or if there are any injuries.

Traffic is backed up from the accident, which is around mile marker 128.

According to West Virginia 511, traffic is at a stand still as far back as exit 124.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
