1 killed, 2 critically hurt in Lincoln County car wreck

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. — A vehicle wreck on the last day of 2016 claimed the life of a Lincoln County man and left two other people critically injured, according to State Police.

The victim was identified as Golden Dwayne Adkins, 53, of Branchland.

Troopers said Adkins was driving a vehicle heading south on Route 10 near West Hamlin Saturday evening around 6:12 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a vehicle in the northbound lane.

WSAZ Television reported drug or alcohol use was not suspected as a factor in the crash.
