Fugitive arrested in Marion Co. charged with homicide

BRACKENRIDGE, Pa. – Authorities in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania have reportedly charged a man with murder after his arrest in Fairmont.

Justin Elliot Bartlett, 25, was taken into custody near the Rite Aid at about 1:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2 according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.

Tuesday afternoon, Pittsburgh media reported Bartlett had been charged with homicide, burglary, theft by unlawful taking and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.

Allegheny County (Pa) police are investigating the murder of 63-year-old Linda McGinnis of Brackenridge, Pa.

She had been stabbed to death in her home.  A medical examiner’s report indicated the victim had a chop wound to her head and had been stabbed in the neck.

Bartlett was arrested Monday on outstanding warrants from a November case.

It’s also believed Bartlett spent part of the weekend in Mannington. He was spotted outside a grocery store Saturday.

He may have spent the night at Katy Baptist Church. His car was recovered by police.
