ArcelorMittal looking for miners for McDowell County jobs

PRINCETON, W.Va. — ArcelorMittal is looking to hire 50 to 75 coal miners for its metallurgical coal operations in McDowell County.

The company held a job fair in Welch Wednesday and has another one scheduled for Thursday in Princeton.

In a prepared statement, ArcelorMittal said it was looking for additional employees to “address attrition as well as to raise 2017 production in line with improved global demand for metallurgical coal.”

Thursday’s job fair in Princeton will take place at 195 Davis Street, Suite 104 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ArcelorMittal operates both surface and underground mines in McDowell County.
