Wheeling Jesuit president announces resignation

WHEELING, W.Va. — The president of Wheeling Jesuit University announced his resignation this week, according to the school.

In a Thursday new release, university officials said Rev. James Fleming resigned Tuesday.

No word on why Fleming resigned. It’s unknown if his resignation was expected or a surprise.

The university hopes to find an interim president by Jan. 15.
