Via Air to resume service out of Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Air service from the Greenbrier Valley Airport to Charlotte will resume on Monday, January 9th.

Via Air announced Friday it would resume the service which was suspended without warning the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The sudden suspension of the service left some travelers stranded in Lewisburg trying to get to Charlotte.

Via Air officials issued a statement about the service after a conference call with airport officials and other stakeholders. The call centered around the recent closure of the airport terminal which affected flights in and out of the airport.

Via Air officials plan to offer abbreviated service next week and resume a full flight schedule the following week.

The carrier is based in Maitland, Florida and offers air service from several West Virginia airports to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
