Wayne County house fire claims a life

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. — Investigators with the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office are leading the investigation into a deadly house fire in Wayne County.

The fire was reported before 10 p.m. Saturday on Ceredo’s B Street.

Firefighters from the Kenova Fire Department and Ceredo Fire Department responded to the scene along with officers from the Ceredo Police Department.

One person died in the blaze, officials confirmed.

The victim was not being publicly identified as of early Sunday afternoon.
