Pennsylvania murder suspect appears in Marion Co. court

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — An Allegheny County, Pa. murder suspect waived his right to an extradition hearing in Marion County court Tuesday.

Justin Elliot Bartlett, 25, will return to Pennsylvania to face a number of charges related to the death of a 63-year-old Brackenridge woman.

The charges include homicide, burglary, theft by unlawful taking and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.

Bartlett was arrested outside a Fairmont pharmacy Jan. 2.

The victim, Linda McGinnis, had been stabbed to death in her home.  Bartlett reportedly stole the woman’s car and was spotted in Mannington in Marion County following the crime.

At one point, authorities believe Bartlett spent the night in Katy Baptist Church while running from Pennsylvania authorities.
