Stabbing at Morgantown homeless shelter

Stabbing suspect Graham W. Whitlow

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown Police are investigating an overnight stabbing at a homeless shelter that sent one person to the hospital and another to jail.

Police have charged Graham. W. Whitlow, 48, of Overland Park, Kansas, with malicious wounding.  Police have not released the name of the victim, who is in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Police say the stabbing happened at the Bartlett House at about eight o’clock Saturday night.  Whitlow fled the scene before police arrived, but was arrested a short time later below the South High Street Bridge.

Police have not released a motive.
