Body in Kanawha River is missing St. Albans man

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va.– A body pulled from the Kanawha River 10 days ago is identified as that of a missing Kanawha County man.

James Brammer

The state Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the victim is James Brammer of St. Albans. Brammer was last seen on Nov. 15, 2016.

A barge captain on the river spotted the body in the water on Jan.14 about two miles upstream from Point Pleasant.

State police are still awaiting a cause of death from the Medical Examiner.
