MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Class AAA No. 3 Morgantown handed rival and No. 2 University its first loss of the season on Friday night, 59-54.

Nicky Solomon led Morgantown (12-2) with 24 points in the win, while Torin Hanson added 21 points. University (13-1) was led by Geoff Hamperian and Ethan Ridgeway who both finished in double figures.

The win for Morgantown avenges a 54-50 loss to the Hawks earlier in the month.
