Five-year-old shot by sibling in Fayette County

OAK HILL, W.Va. – A 5-year-old child was shot by his younger sibling Thursday evening, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened on Prudence Road.

The child was taken to Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Child Protective Services is involved in the investigation.
