One person dead after Nitro car crash

NITRO, W.Va. – One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 64 in Putnam County Saturday night.

The crash was reported around 11:30, and happened near the St. Albans exit.

According to the Nitro Police Department, the person who died was ejected from the car. Another passenger was taken to the hospital.

The interstate was closed as crews investigated the scene. It has reopened.

No names have been released.
