DUNBAR, W.Va. – The family of a Nitro woman found dead in September 2014 is asking for help in the search for answers regarding her death.
Christa Romaine Collier’s body was found in an abandoned building in Dunbar. Authorities have been investigating the cause of death for more than two years.
Trina Duke, Collier’s mother, said Wednesday she is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of anyone who knows what happened to Collier.
Duke said her daughter had problems with drug addiction, adding she had left a rehabilitation facility in August 2014.
“We were having issues trying to get hold of her again,” Duke said.
Investigators have not ruled out foul play.
Duke, who lives in Mobile, Ala., said drug use impacts more than just one person.
“Christa has two children, and they are suffering greatly,” Duke said.
