Police investigating break-in at Fayette County school

ANSTED, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a break-in at Ansted Middle School that resulted in the theft of school equipment.

The Sheriff’s Office reports the break-in occurred before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to the scene and found a perpetrator had forced open a door into the cafeteria.

Surveillance camera footage indicated that there was a single, masked male perpetrator and that this break-in had occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m.

The suspect escaped with two laptop computers and a 55” TV, which was mounted on the wall in the cafeteria.
