Class AAA girls basketball state tournament seeds set

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — The 2017 high school girls basketball Class AAA state tournament seeds are set following Tuesday’s regional games around the state.

State tournament play will run from Wednesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 11 at the Charleston Civic Center. MetroNews will have complete coverage throughout the week, including the radio broadcast of every game and live video streaming of the championship games on Saturday.

Wednesday, March 8

Game 1: 11:15 a.m. – No. 2 Buckhannon-Upshur (22-3) vs. No. 7 St. Albans (17-8)

Game 2: 7:15 p.m. – No. 1 Huntington (22-3) vs. No. 8 Spring Mills (17-8)

Thursday, March 9

Game 3: 11:15 a.m. – No. 4 South Charleston (20-5) vs. No. 5 Parkersburg (19-5)

Game 4: 7:15 p.m. – No. 3 Martinsburg (23-2) vs. No. 6 Wheeling Park (18-6)

Friday, March 10

Game 5: 5:30 p.m. – Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner

Game 6: 9 p.m. – Game 1 winner vs. Game 4 winner

Saturday, March 11

7:15 p.m. – Class AAA girls basketball state championship
