MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Musselman (19-3) edged University (20-2) for the overall No. 1 spot in the final release of the high school boys basketball MetroNews Power Index computer rankings, presented by AARP.
While neither team played a regular season game since the Week 7 release, Musselman’s schedule strength slightly improved (with opponents’ wins/losses), while University’s slightly fell — it was enough to propel Musselman to No. 1.
After No. 2 University, the Hawks are followed in Class AAA by No. 3 Capital (18-4), No. 4 Morgantown (17-5) and No. 5 Woodrow Wilson (16-6).
