Class A girls basketball state tournament seeds set

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — The 2017 high school girls basketball Class A state tournament seeds are set following Thursday’s regional games around the state.

State tournament play will run from Wednesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 11 at the Charleston Civic Center. MetroNews will have complete coverage throughout the week, including the radio broadcast of every game and live-streaming for the championships.

Wednesday, March 8

Game 1: 9:30 a.m. – No. 3 Tucker County (22-3) vs. No. 6 Williamstown (19-5)

Game 2: 1 p.m. – No. 2 Wheeling Central (24-1) vs. No. 7 Ritchie County (18-7)

Game 3: 5:30 p.m. – No. 1 Summers County (23-2) vs. No. 8 Charleston Catholic (17-9)

Game 4: 9:00 p.m. – No. 4 Gilmer County (22-3) vs. No. 5 St. Joseph Central (15-9)

Friday, March 10

Game 5: 9:30 a.m. – Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner

Game 6: 1:00 p.m. – Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner

Saturday, March 11

12 p.m. – Class A girls basketball state championship
