Class AA girls basketball state tournament seeds set

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — The 2017 West Virginia high school girls basketball Class AA state tournament seeds are set following Wednesday’s regional games.

State tournament play will run from Wednesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 11 at the Charleston Civic Center. MetroNews will have complete coverage throughout the week, including radio broadcasts of every game and live-streaming for the championships.

Thursday, March 9

Game 1: No. 3 North Marion (21-4) vs. No. 6 Poca (18-7), 9:30 a.m.

Game 2: No. 2 Fairmont Senior (21-4) vs. No. 7 Bridgeport (16-9), 1 p.m.

Game 3: No. 1 Bluefield (21-2) vs. No. 8 River View (19-6), 5:30 p.m.

Game 4: No. 4 Winfield (22-3) vs. No. 5 Lincoln (20-5), 9 p.m.

Friday, March 10

Semifinal: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 11:15 a.m.

Semifinal: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, March 11

Class AA girls basketball state championship, 2:30 p.m.
