Former youth center worker accused of sexual abuse

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police arrested a former employee at a Harrison County treatment facility for youth in an ongoing sexual abuse investigation.

Ronnie Fazzini, 26 of Clarksburg, is accused of writing sexually explicit letters to a 16-year-old resident at Pressley Ridge.

According to Sgt. Adam Scott with the State Police Crimes Against Children Unit, Fazzini was a former night watch employee for the residential program that serves troubled youth and children with special needs.

Scott began the investigation in February after the Institutional Investigation Unit with West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources received a complaint regarding Fazzini.

Pressley Ridge staff members discovered inappropriate letters in the girl’s room that appeared to be in Fazzini’s handwriting, according to Scott.

The victims allegedly confirmed the letters, described as “sexual in nature”, were from the suspect and that “he wanted to have sex with her.”

According to Scott the letters were “obviously in an attempt to groom the victim for sexual activity.”

Fazzini, whose home has been searched as part of the investigation, was arrested Tuesday, March 7 on three felony counts of sexual
abuse by a person in position of trust to a child.

Fazzini was arraigned in Harrison County Magistrate Court by Magistrate Kopp. Kopp set a $10,000 cash or surety bond.

The suspect immediately posted bond.
