One dead in early morning Lewis County fire

WESTON, W.Va. — The Lewis/Gilmer 911 Dispatch confirmed one person died in a Tuesday morning house fire in Lewis County.

Departments responded to a call at 5:48 a.m. Tuesday on South Main Avenue in Weston.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is also on scene.

There is no word on the fire’s origin.
