CHARLESTON, W.Va. — AT&T customers are experiencing an outage across West Virginia Wednesday, preventing those customers from calling 911.
A spokesman for AT&T said customers nationwide are experiencing similar problems, and the company is working on fixing the issue. It is not clear how many states are affected.

The West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management said it is monitoring the situation. A restoration time is not known.
