GLENVILLE, W.Va. — The Glenville State College Board of Governors announced Dr. Tracy L. Pellett as the school’s twenty-fourth President Wednesday afternoon.

The Board of Governors selected Dr. Pellett ahead of two other finalists, Dr. Andrew Egan, chancellor and chief academic officer at Penn State Greater Allegheny and Dr. Mary Katherine Butler Donley, a former senior academic vice president and provost at Glenville State.

Visits to the campus were conducted in February.

A former middle school teacher, Pellett is currently the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia.

He previously held positions at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington as Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Education and Associate Provost for Academic and Student Life.

The appointment must now be submitted to the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission for approval at a special meeting.
