U.S. Marshals: Halfway house results in charges, removal

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A law enforcement sweep at a federal halfway house in Clarksburg Friday morning resulted in five individuals being taken out of the facility, the U.S. Marshal’s Service confirmed Friday.

At least one of those removed faces a probation violation for allegedly having drugs in the Dismas Charities halfway house.

Supervisory Deputy US Marshal Terry Moore confirmed Mark Wayne Lundell Jr., 28, has been charged for violating the terms of his supervised release.

Four other residents of the halfway house were transported back to federal prison due to “violations of the facilities rules.”

Federal, state and local law enforcement officers were on the scene for several hours Friday morning.

In an e-mail exchange Friday afternoon, a Public Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Attorney of the Northern District said the Department of Justice would not be commenting on an ongoing investigation.

The Dismas Charities facility is located near Monticello Avenue in Clarksburg.
