CRAWLEY, W.Va. — Two people were killed in separate vehicle crashes in Greenbrier and Jefferson counties Monday morning, police said.
According to the Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan, at around 10:00 a.m. the driver of an SUV on U.S. Route 60 in the Crawley area crossed the center line and slammed into a tractor trailer approaching westbound. The SUV driver was killed and passenger taken by helicopter to Charleston Area Medical Center. The truck driver was not injured.
At around 10:15 a.m. in Jefferson County, a person was killed in a crash near the intersection of Route 9 and Wiltshire Road. The Ranson Police Department is investigating.
