Webster County authorities searching for missing Hurricane man

WEBSTER SPRINGS, W.Va. — The Webster County Office of Emergency Services and 911 Center is conducting a search for a missing Putnam County man who hasn’t been heard from since arriving in Webster County Saturday afternoon.

Joe Ranson Jr., 60, arrived in the Webster Springs area around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 for a fishing trip.

He is listed at 5’6”, 150 pounds. Ranson drives a black 2014 Ford Escape with West Virginia tags OYC 384.

The back glass has a “Thin Blue Line” decal. There is also a WVU plate on the front bumper.
