All lanes reopen following Turnpike wreck

8:10 a.m. UPDATE  All lanes have reopened.

CHELYAN, W.Va. — Traffic southbound on the W.Va. Turnpike is slowed today after an early morning accident.

Authorities say one semi jack-knifed around 5:30 a.m. in the southbound lane about a mile south of the Chelyan Toll Plaza.   The accident involved three semis and a passenger vehicle.

Emergency crews on the scene say no cargo was lost and fuel spills in the incident were minimal.  One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The wreck has traffic down to one lane southbound as crews work to clear the scene.
