2 people found dead in McDowell County mobile home

IAEGER, W.Va. — Two dead bodies were discovered Tuesday in a McDowell County mobile home, according to West Virginia State Police officials.

Welch Detachment Commander Sgt. R.A. Daniel said troopers were called to the scene in the Lick Branch area on Old Route 52  to investigate a call regarding possible overdoses.

The call came in around 12:30 p.m.

The identities of the the people were not released as the family still needs to be notified.

The cause of death was also not released, and the bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner’s officer for autopsies.
