Logan County woman killed in car crash

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — A Logan County woman died Wednesday following a two-vehicle crash on state Route 80.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department said the victim is Tishie Trent, 39, of Lorado.

Authorities said Trent was going southbound on the road in a Nissa Xterra when the car crossed the center line, striking a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the front door. Trent was ejected from her vehicle.

She was transported to Pikeville Medical Center in Kentucky via HealthNet where she was pronounced dead.

The driver and passenger of the Jeep were taken to Logan Regional Medical Center. Both are expected to recover.
