Man arrested after standoff with Martinsburg Police

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A standoff between Martinsburg Police and a city man ended about four hours after officers arrived to arrest him in connection with a domestic incident Tuesday.

The standoff began about 9:45 p.m. when Willys Cassamajor, 26, refused to answer the door of his South Kentucky Ave. residence.

Police said he ultimately surrendered without incident to members of the Martinsburg Police Department Special Response Team.

Cassamajor was being held on charges of kidnapping and strangulation in Eastern Regional Jail as of Tuesday night.
