Herd adds juco transfer Koljanin to roster

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall coach Dan D’Antoni added a Croatian junior college transfer to the roster for next season.

Dani Koljanin, a 6-foot-8 forward from Monroe (N.Y.) College became this year’s fifth signee for the Thundering Herd.

“Koljanin closes out with what I believe is our best class since I’ve arrived on campus.” D’Antoni said. “People need to remember last year was what I considered Year 2 for a five-year plan on building our program. We are excited with what Dani brings and we believe he is a great addition. The future is bright for Marshall basketball.”

Koljanin has two years’ eligibility remaining.

At Monroe College, Koljanin led the team with 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and six double-doubles.

Koljanin joins a recruiting class along 6-10 center Iran Bennett, 6-8 forward Tanner Robinette, 6-7 guard Darius George and 5-10 Jarrod West.
