Scott’s Lyles with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and throws shutout in win

MADISON, W.Va. — Scott’s Carter Lyles on Thursday hit three home runs, including a grand slam, collected 10 RBIs and threw a five-inning shutout in the Skyhawks’ 19-0 win over Westside.

Lyles, just a sophomore, stands in at 6-foot, 230 pounds. The first of his home runs on the day came on a grand slam. On the mound, he finished with eight strikeouts.

Scott overall has won 9 of 10 games, improving its record to 14-4 on the season.
