Parkersburg football coach Don Reeves steps down

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Parkersburg football coach Don Reeves has resigned, according to Wood County school officials.

Reeves was hired to the position in 2010, but the Big Reds have consistently been around or below .500 during his tenure.

After first round playoff exits in 2010 and 2011, Parkersburg followed with 4-6 campaigns in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. A third playoff appearance under Reeves came in 2014, also a first round exit.

Reeves overall went 35-38 in seven seasons at the helm.
