Man sentenced for sexual assault in Morgantown parking garage elevator

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A former WVU student will spend 10 to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman in the elevator of a Morgantown parking garage.

Sadeq Abbas Alhakeem, 21, pleaded guilty in Monongalia County Circuit Court to one count of second degree sexual assault.

A grand jury had indicted him on multiple charges late last year.

The February 2106 assault was recorded by video surveillance. Alhakeem was sentenced Thursday, April 27, 2017.
