CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The 40-year career of state Purchasing Director David Tincher came to a close Friday with his retirement.
Tincher served in various capacities in the area of procurement. He’s been the purchasing director since 1997.
Tincher has been recognized at the highest level of his profession by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
“These accomplishments are just a few of the footprints of success that Tincher made in state government procurement throughout the years,” Department of Administration Secretary John Myers said Friday. “His knowledge, dedication and expertise in public procurement practices have always made him stand out among his peers. We wish him the very best in his next chapter.”
Tincher is a graduate of Morris Harvey College.
