Fairmont woman gets a surprise

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — We’ve all gotten those Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes promotions in the mail. A fair number of Americans religiously fill them out, usually doubting they will ever materialize into anything.

Martha Fyar is one of those. She’s filled them out faithfully and send them back in for years.

Friday, the effort paid off.

The prize team from Publisher’s Clearing House arrived at her door with a check for $1 Million. She wasn’t at home.

It didn’t take neighbors long to call her up and it took her even less time to get home to the biggest surprise of her life.
