PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa — A West Virginia truck driver was killed in an accident Monday afternoon along Interstate 79 near the Pennsylvania state line.
Pennsylvania State Police say Michael Snyder, 48, of Weston, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Perry Township, about three miles north of the West Virginia line.
According to investigators, Snyder’s rig was headed south when it traveled off the highway and into the median where the flatbed trailer became detached from the tractor. The trailer spilled its load, rolled over and landed on top of the cab.
The investigation is ongoing.
