MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Drug-distribution charges against the alleged kingpin of an Eastern Panhandle heroin-trafficking ring were moved to circuit court yesterday.

Christian Blunt, 24, of Martinsburg is charged with more than 240 drug distribution-related offenses in Berkeley and Jefferson counties.

The Herald Mail reports Blunt waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday in Berkeley County.

Charges pending in Jefferson County have also been forwarded to circuit court for possible presentation to a grand jury.

Blunt was among dozens of people charged in connection with the drug-distribution ring in March.
