Kanawha County man arrested in sex crimes case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A St. Albans man was arraigned Thursday on 22 criminal counts in connection with the alleged sexual assault and abuse of two young girls, authorities said.

Michael Bryant, 40, appeared before a Kanawha County Magistrate after being arrested on 22 felony counts of sexual assault and sexual abuse.

According to the criminal complaint, Bryant abused a 10-year-old girl and a three-year-old girl.

He’s being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bail.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case.
