Roane County crash victims from Pittsburgh area

AMMA, W.Va. — A brother and sister from the Pittsburgh area are identified as victims of a Sunday fatal accident in Roane County.

State Police say Pia Kratovel, 67, and Bernard Stiles, 72, died in the crash on I-79 near Amma.  Troopers say the two were on their way to visit relatives in North Carolina Sunday around noon when their SUV ran out of control and into the median. The vehicle flipped several times and ejected both victims.

A cause for the accident remains under investigation.  The crash caused a shutdown of the southbound lanes for several hours Sunday afternoon.
