Suspect, victim hospitalized following multi-county chase

LOGAN, W.Va. — A suspect and victim of a police chase were hospitalized Monday after being pursued by West Virginia State Police.

Troopers said Justin Green faces multiple charges after he allegedly held a knife and a needle to a driver of a car and making him drive down U.S. 119.

The incident appears to be drug related and was broadcast on Facebook Live.

The victim/driver avoided several spike strips during the four-county chase.

The chase ended because of a rolling roadblock near the Lenore exit in Mingo County. The Logan Police Department and other agencies assisted state police.

Both Green and the victim are being treated at Logan Regional Medical Center. The victim has some wounds on his thigh and under their chin according to troopers.

At least one cruiser was damaged in the pursuit.

Green was placed in custody.
