Missing Fairmont woman may be with companion tied to local drug trafficking

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Marion County woman missing for nearly three weeks is believed to be in “extreme danger,” according to West Virginia State Police.

Kara Jeffrey, 21, was last seen in Huntington when she visited a friend on May 1.

She is believed to be in the company of an unidentified black man that Corporal Isaac Harmon described as a “current boyfriend.”

Investigators believe the dangers to Jeffrey are two-fold. First, she suffers from an undisclosed medical condition that is going untreated. Second, police believe the unidentified man is connected with drug trafficking–possibly to trafficking occurring in the Fairmont area.

She is described as an Asian female with an athletic build, standing 5’4”, and weighing 140 pounds.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Cpl. Isaac Harmon at (304) 290-4002 or Sgt. Sally Hatten at (304) 633-6261.
