Nicholas County man accused of threatening to kill wife, others with AK 47 rifle

DIXIE, W.Va. — A man allegedly threatened to kill his wife and other people inside a home Tuesday, according to Nicholas County sheriff’s deputies.

Jonathan David Elswick, 43, is being held in the Central Regional Jail.

Jonathan David Elswick, 43, was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment. He was arraigned Wednesday.

According to the criminal complaint, Elswick kicked and knocked down his wife Donna Jo Elswick during a domestic dispute at a home in Dixie. He then retrieved an AK 47 rifle and threatened to kill her and everyone that was in the home.

It’s unknown how many people were inside the house.

Elswick is being held at the Central Regional Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
