No charges following accidental shooting in Taylor County

GRAFTON, W.Va. — There will be no charges following an accidental shooting just outside of the Grafton city limits, according to Taylor County Sheriff Terry Austin.

Investigators and first responders were on scene at a home on Centre Court on U.S. 119 just before 11 a.m. to treat a juvenile with minor injuries from a bullet that ricocheted off of concrete.

Austin said a father and son were looking at a newly purchased firearm when the gun discharged.

The son was taken by Taylor County EMS to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. The bullet grazed his ankle.
