Man arrested in Preston stabbing incident

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A stabbing in Preston County results in one man wounded and another in custody in an apparent fight over a teenage girl.

Kingwood Police arrested Kenneth Brown, Jr. 53 of Kingwood on Friday. Brown stabbed Devin Sullivan, according to investigators, when he entered Sullivan’s home and started the fight. Police claim Brown first punched Sullivan in the face and stabbed him in the arm, all while Sullivan was in the shower.

Sullivan was taken to Preston Memorial Hospital and then on to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Witnesses tell police the fight was over a 17 year old girl, with whom both men had a romantic interest.

Brown is charged with attempted murder.
