WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling Park will only play one regular season football game on its home field at Wheeling Island Stadium this coming season due to the ongoing stadium repairs.
Ohio County school officials said work to repair concrete panels on the stadium will need until at least September 25th for completion.
The Patriots have found a venue for four of its scheduled home games at West Liberty University, with the final home game against Parkersburg South on October 27th scheduled for Wheeling Island Stadium.
Scheduled home games for Wheeling Park against Brooke (August 24), University (September 15), Cambridge, Oh. (September 22) and Parkersburg (September 29) will be played at West Liberty.
