Olive truck crash causes delays on Interstate 64

UPDATE 1:45 p.m.   All westbound lanes reopened

DUNBAR, W.Va. — Traffic was backed up on Interstate 64 in Kanawha County Monday morning after a tractor trailer carrying thousands of pounds of canned olives crashed.

The truck skidded on its side on the Dunbar end of the westbound South Charleston-Dunbar I-64 bridge. Traffic quickly backed up. Two lanes were open by 9:45 a.m.

It was expected to take several hours to clear the wreckage.

There were no initial reports of injuries.
